Getting to Springfield on the 22nd

Call to the Community:  It doesn't look like any of the organizations in SoIL are sponsoring transportation to the Marriage Equality march in Springfield on Tuesday 10/22. We at IIQ are happy to help as an information exchange.  If you are planning to drive up and have space in your vehicle OR want to go but don't have a way, please contact us either in the comments below or at our email, isntitqueer@gmail.com and we will do our best to put folks in contact.

We are starting to Podcast!

Down at the bottom of this page, you will find two important embedded tools that will improve your access to broadcasts of "Isn't It Queer."  The one on the right accesses the live feed of WDBX in Carbondale IL, where we broadcast the show each Wednesday morning from 9-10 CST.  The one on the left accesses our new attempt at archiving and podcasting the show through Spreaker.com.  We are still struggling a bit with our sound capture technology, so the quality of this first podcast is not what we hope it will be in the future.  Comments and suggestions are very welcome, but please remember that this show is an all volunteer effort for a local community radio station. 

This site is intended as a resource for queer communities in Southern Illinois.  It is a partner site with the WDBX radio show of the same name.  We hope to keep active links to local and relevant resources as well as a calendar of upcoming events.
